Her hand across her heart, she wonders where he went when he left this world. Traveling through the thin veil, the bird which is an emblem of the soul watches over the mother and child as she ponders. The child watches the fox take a sip from the stream below. Life moves on and flowers bloom.
About Sherry Ashby
I am a working artist in a small fishing village nestled off the coast of Maine and Atlantic Canada. It is a little like the Wild West meets Northern Exposure here. It is wildly beautiful in light and landscape and the people are fierce and hearty. I am a painter, print maker, illustrator, gardener and foremost, a mother.
